The E-Light IPL system combines Intense Pulse Light with Radio Frequency so that it can treat darker skin and even light hair.
The Diode Medical Grade Laser is a fast approach to hair removal, light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, this absorption raises the temperature of the hair follicle and thermally destroys the cells responsible for regrowth. In order to minimise discomfort, a skin cooling system (sapphire contact cooling tip) is used to chill the skin before, during and after the treatment. The hair will usually fall out in the treated area within 1 to 3 weeks following the treatment.
It is recommended to avoid sun exposure for four weeks prior to treatment. Following the treatment, the skin may be sensitive to UV light and it is advised that the high factor sunscreen is used for four months on the treated area.
